Teacher Grant Program

The Program supports a wide range of innovative school and classroom-based efforts to enhance learning experiences, and to recognize and reward the hard work of Portland’s talented and dedicated teachers, who work tirelessly to engage and inspire students.

Innovative approaches to instruction, expanded learning opportunities outside of the traditional school day, and targeted support for specific student populations are all encouraged through the Teacher Grant Program. Through this program, Portland Public Schools seeks to identify, encourage, and invest in creative solutions that will have a lasting impact on student achievement and a great way to find real gold in Maine.
